The client faced several challenges that hampered the efficiency of their quoting process:

  • A lack of a well-rounded user interface (UI) resulted in inadequate connectivity between various business users.
  • The quoting process was spread across multiple CRM systems causing data misinterpretation and generating unreliable statistics.
  • Workflows were disjointed and not robust enough, lacking reminders and notifications for critical tasks, which led to task abandonment or incomplete processes.

Solution Details

To address these challenges, we conceptualized and developed a streamlined quoting process within a single system using Salesforce Sales Cloud. Key elements of the solution included:

  • We unified lead conversion, quote generation, and contract creation into a single workflow within Salesforce Sales Cloud.
  • Intuitive, modern UI/UX interfaces were developed using Lightning Web Components (LWC), designed specifically for different user roles to improve usability and engagement.
  • LWC-based workflows were implemented to streamline operations, including filtering products based on payment terms and contract duration, assigning tasks to users, and setting up approval rules based on product family ownership.
  • We integrated Salesforce with DocuSign to generate quote documents and obtain customer signatures, with all documents stored in Salesforce as a single source of truth.
  • Automated reminders and notifications were implemented to ensure timely task completion and reduce the risk of missed follow-ups.
